As Xiao Wan was playing the popular virtual reality game (Feng Qi Cang Lan), she suddenly fell off a cliff. Due to a glitch in the system, instead of returning to the real world,
she found herself in a different game environment. She realized that she was transported into her favorite Japanese manga ‘Sword Art Online’. Everything around her looked extremely realistic. The lush green forests, the medieval European style buildings
and the weapons looked as if they were taken straight out of the manga’s illustrations.
Xiao Wan was ecstatic that she got to experience the world from her beloved manga firsthand. However, her excitement soon turned into fear and anxiety as she remembered the stakes in the manga’s story. The characters got trapped in the virtual world and had to fight for their survival to escape. She started panicking and wondered if she would meet the same fate.
Hence, Xiao Wan decided that she must find a way out of this world quickly. She thought that retracing the steps of the protagonist from the manga might help her discover clues to log out of the game. As night fell, she set up camp under a large oak tree and dozed off while thinking of a plan for the next day.
The next morning, Xiao Wan headed west through the forest toward the first town, mimicking the path taken in the manga. On her way, she encountered a few wild beasts that she swiftly defeated using martial art skills she had acquired in (Feng Qi Cang Lan). She finally made it to the town by noon and began exploring for anything that could help her situation.
After hours of searching, Xiao Wan sat down dejectedly unable to find a way home. She started to lose hope of ever escaping this virtual world. As tears welled up in her eyes, a flash of blue light engulfed her vision and she found herself back in the real world, still wearing her virtual reality headset.
